How webhook retries work
A retry is another delivery attempt, not another event.
An endpoint may be temporarily unavailable or respond too slowly. Data-Line records the failed attempt and asks its queue to retry within the configured limit.
A retry uses the same destination idempotency key. The receiver must store that key before applying an effect. If the reply is lost after the receiver succeeds, Data-Line cannot know that the effect happened.
After retries are exhausted, review the dead-lettered event. Manual replay creates a new delivery generation and is an intentional new attempt.
